Refunds
Who holds the money for a pass, who can give it back, and what happens to the pass itself when they do.

1. Read this first: we never hold the money
When you buy a pass, you pay a named committee member’s UPI account directly. The app shows you whose account it is before you pay, and afterwards records that you said you paid and that a committee member confirmed it.
The money went to the mandal. It did not pass through Pravesh ID. So a refund can only be given by the mandal you paid — we have nothing to return.
2. How to ask for one
- Ask the mandal running the event. The person whose UPI you paid is named on your payment screen, and the committee’s contact details are on the event.
- If a committee member agrees, they refund you the same way you paid — usually UPI to the number you paid from — and then cancel the pass in the app.
- If you cannot reach the mandal at all, write to support@myind.ai. We cannot refund you, but we can help you reach the committee and we will tell you plainly if we cannot.
3. What cancelling a pass does
When a committee member cancels a pass, its code stops working immediately, including on gate devices that are offline — a cancelled pass is refused at the gate with “Ticket was refunded”. The seat returns to the pool and can be sold again.
Cancelling is recorded against the committee member who did it, with the reason. That record cannot be edited afterwards.
4. Unpaid seats release themselves
If you start a purchase and do not complete payment, the seat is held for 30 minutes and then returns to the pool automatically. Nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund.
5. When the mandal decides, not us
Whether a refund is given at all is the mandal’s decision. We do not set a refund window, because we are not the seller and it would be dishonest to promise something we cannot deliver. Common practice is that a mandal refunds if the event is cancelled and does not refund a no-show, but that is the mandal’s to state.
Ask before you pay if the answer matters to you.
6. If the event is cancelled
A cancelled event stops selling immediately and every pass for it stops working. Refunding people who already paid is the mandal’s responsibility, and the app gives it the list of who paid and how much.
7. Duplicate or wrong payments
If you paid twice, or paid the wrong amount, tell the committee member you paid. Their record shows what arrived, so a duplicate is usually easy to establish.
8. Complaints
If a mandal will not answer you, the contact page names a grievance officer and the time we aim to reply in.
